Help your Childcare Provider Love to work with your Kids

It’s rare to find a good babysitter, who is definitely an asset to your family. They are the ones who take loving care of your kids when you travel out of town or go to work.

So, when you are lucky to find one such wonderful childcare provider, it’s very important that you make them stay with you as long as you desire. If you can make the babysitter happy and feel at home, you can rest assured that they will take extra care of your kids. The tips given below will ensure that it happens to your satisfaction.

Be fair, pay well and on time

Before hiring a babysitter, make sure you create an attractive pay rate. If you want to ensure that the childcare provider is happy to work with your kids, pay a little more than the going rate, and pay them on time.

Apart from this, pay them small compensations for extra services they do, going a little out of the way for your sake. By making such additional payments, you are letting your babysitter know how you appreciate and value them.

Remain on schedule

Always give your childcare provider an estimated daily schedule of your departure from and arrival back home. If there is going to be a delay, update them promptly. If you can confirm that you will return between 10 and 10:30 pm, make sure you do it!

Refreshments and food

If your absence is for long duration, your childcare provider will most likely need refreshments/food. It is common courtesy to keep ready snacks and beverages. Your kindness will not go unnoticed.

Entertainment

If your kids are small, they will most likely be fast asleep before you return home. This could mean that your babysitter has to idle away time. Some entertainment such as PS 3 or Xbox One, or movie programs such as Netflix would be helpful. Make sure you give them as well a list of TV programs and channels, which they cannot watch with the children.

Activities For kids

After the nap, the kids for sure would desire to play games with the childcare provider. Before the arrival of the babysitter, take some time to prepare a list of activities, your kids normally love to do.

The list may include games, mess free coloring, paper and plaster crafts, animal crafts, outdoor activities or favorite movies. This will give the childcare provider a choice of games that your children are already familiar with, and would love to play; babysitting can thus be made easier and ‘fun full’.

With just a little effort and thoughtfulness, you can make sure that your kids and the childcare provider are happy together. When things go on smoothly during your absence, the babysitter will value all your efforts. This will make them happy and they are more likely to return again and again to babysit eagerly.

Remember, a good babysitter is certainly an asset to your family: you go about your own schedule tension free, and your children are happy and safe in their hands.
